Elemental Lead has been present and used throughout human history, and increased as the Industrial Revolution started in the 1800’s. Lead usage in industrial and commercial products as well as paint continued to expand until new types of paint became available in the 1950’s. Most houses built prior to 1980 contain some lead-based paint. 

At PCM Environmental, we perform onsite lead-based paint analysis using our portable X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) Analyzer. The XRF can analyze lead-based paint quickly and provide results with no destructive sampling.
