Case Study 1
Range: SISC (Sydney International Shooting Centre) 2000 Olympics Site
PCM Enviro performed range lead reclamation and maintenance activities (SISC) Trap Shooting facility, Cecil Park to recover lead shot.
PCM Enviro utilised proprietry screening and finishing systems to provide lead shot recovery of greater that 98% from soils. These systems included proprietry mobile vibratory screening plants and pneumatic finishing systems to achieve high lead recovery efficiencies plus enhance lead value, providing the greatest return to the facility. PCM Enviro returned the club back to original condition and submitted reports of the work activities. A tailored approach to binding lead in impacted soils and vegetation regeneration were applied.
Whilst conducting the work PCM Enviro maintained sediment controls as well as dust and erosion controls to protect the property.
Case Study 2
Range: FACTC (Frankston Australia Clay Target Club) High Performance Training Centre
PCM Enviro performed range lead reclamation and maintenance activities (FACTC) Trap Shooting facility, Frankston to recover lead shot.
PCM Enviro utilised proprietry screening and finishing systems to the range which allows the club to meet maintenance requirements from land owner Melbourne Water. PCM Enviro surpasses all OHS and Best Practice methods for maintaining the High Risk Works Permit appointed from the land owner. These systems utilised included proprietry mobile vibratory screening plants and pneumatic finishing systems as well as gravity separation equipment to achieve high lead recovery efficiencies plus enhance lead value, providing the greatest return to the facility. PCM Enviro returned the club back to original condition, promoting vegetative regeneration and submitted reports of the work activities. Whilst conducting the work PCM Enviro maintained strict dust and erosion controls to protect the property.
Case Study 3
Range: Belmont Shooting Complex (2018 Commonwealth Games Trap Shooting Site)
PCM Enviro were involved with the range design and supply and installation of the Shotstop® Shooting Curtain System
PCM Enviro designed a Shooting Curtain containment system which restricts the lead shot to a distance of 80m. This enables the range to minimise its footprint by over 60% on usual lead shot contamination area. The range utilises PCM Enviro’s best practice controls for the sustainability of ranges. The system is the preferred shooting background for visual aquirement of targets and also enables the maximum recycling capability with the lead reclamation process.
Case Study 4
Site: Sunbury Victoria
Onsite in-situ stabilisation works.
Custom blended materials were placed and mixed through areas of extreme exposure to tunnel erosion. The in-situ treatment process was completed successfully and extensive regeneration / landscaping took place returning the site to a parkland for future public use.
Case Study 5
Site: Merri Creek Remediation Works
Assess and apply Specific Site Treatments to a Tipping Site that had contaminated nearby Merri Creek .
The heavily contaminated site was delineated by excavation methods and concurrent sampling methods and stockpiled for waste classification . This allowed for an immediate response/ action to the affected area minimising potential environmental risk to the waterway. 4200m3 of materials was recovered from the impacted area. The Site was rehabilitated with native plantings in accordance with Council Requirements and returned to a natural state.
